Our approach
Practical legal support, explained clearly
A legal problem can take over your thoughts, your time and sometimes your finances. Our aim is to replace uncertainty with a clear understanding of your position.
We start by listening. We look carefully at what has happened, explain the relevant rules in plain English, and set out the realistic options available to you, including their risks and likely costs. You stay in control of every decision.
“Every enquiry starts with listening. The right next step depends on your circumstances, not on a template.”
Our guiding principle for every new enquiry

Before you contact us
What to prepare for your initial consultation
You do not need to have everything in order before getting in touch. But having a few key details to hand helps us understand your situation more quickly.
Please do not send medical records, bank or card details, or large bundles of confidential documents through the enquiry form. If we need documents, we will tell you how to share them securely.
- A short timeline of what happened and the key dates
- Names of the people, businesses or organisations involved
- Any letters, emails, contracts or invoices relating to the issue
- Photographs, reports or reference numbers, if relevant
- Details of any deadlines, notices or court papers you have received
- What outcome you would like to achieve

Questions
Frequently asked questions
Is the initial consultation free?
Yes. Your initial consultation is free and there is no obligation to take things further. It is an opportunity to explain what has happened and to understand your possible next steps.
Do I need to know which area of law my problem falls under?
No. Describe what has happened in your own words and we will work out which area it relates to. Choose “Something else / not sure” on the enquiry form if you are unsure.
Does contacting you mean I have instructed you?
No. Making an enquiry does not create a solicitor–client relationship. We will only act for you once you have agreed to the scope of the work and any fees, in writing.
How are fees explained?
Before any paid work begins, we will explain the likely costs and the funding options that may be available for your type of matter, so you can decide whether to proceed.
Are there time limits for making a claim?
Yes, and they vary depending on the type of claim. Many personal injury claims must be started within three years, and many contract claims within six. It is sensible to seek advice early.
